At this stage, players have begun to explore WoW Mists of Pandaria Classic. In some communities and on social media, many players have said that they have upgraded their characters to the highest level.
But the most important problem that currently bothers them is how to successfully pass through the dungeons in each zone and complete the raids with different item level requirements, because they will be more difficult than the challenges in the previous leveling stages.
Mogu’shan Vaults is one of them. On normal difficulty, it requires your item level to be 489; but if you want to challenge the heroic difficulty and win more achievements, you need to have an item level of 502.
In this raid, you need to pay most attention to Elegon. According to the description, it is a very mysterious celestial dragon enslaved by Mugu tribe. This also indirectly leads to the fact that your battle with it will definitely not be easy.
So, this guide is based on some player videos and feedback to explain each phase of the encounter with Elegon and some notes you should pay attention to, so that you can complete this raid successfully.
Overview
Your fight with Elegon will be divided into three phases, but it should be noted that you will not see him transform and he will not leave the center of the arena.
For this reason, the best combination of the raid team recommended here is a configuration of two tanks + a DPS + a healer, because Elegon will continue to launch vigorous attacks on the tanks during the battle.
In addition, the arena where you fight with Elegon is a bit unique: when you fight on the glass where the boss is hovering, you will get a debuff called Touch of the Titans, which increases your incoming damage and healing power by 50%.
This seems very balanced, right? But in fact, this damage increase effect can be stacked with Overcharge, which will increase the damage you take by 5% every 3 seconds, which is very disadvantageous to you.
So you need to stay away from combat areas that provide debuffs as much as possible, or spend more WoW MoP Classic gold for sale to give your character stronger elemental resistance and defense capabilities, etc. Next is to interpret the battle between you and Elegon in stages.
Phase 1
Unlike other boss encounters, Phase 1 is both the beginning of your fight with it and the most dangerous stage of the battle, because here Elegon’s attacks are very deadly.
Celestial Breath is one of its most common attacks in this phase. It will cause 66,500-73,500 Arcane damage to players within a 100-yard radius and 60-degree cone every 0.5 seconds, and last for 1.5 seconds.
For this attack, all members of your team can effectively avoid the damage by moving to its back in time, or increase your defense layer, especially if you have suffered a top layer of Overcharge.
In addition, this dragon will summon a Celestial Protector every ten seconds during this phase to help it deal damage to you. On Heroic 25 difficulty, this minion has about 12.3 million health, so the off-tank should try to attack it as much as possible.
It will cast a Chain Lightning-style damage move, and if you are hit by it, you will suffer Closed Circuit debuff, which will reduce your health when you are healed by 50%, but you can use the magic dispel ability of a healer such as Discipline Priest to remove it.
Throughout Phase 1, the main tank will take the main damage, the off-tank will take a small amount of damage and assist DPS to deal super high damage to Elegon and its minions, and the healer will use some magic or healing skills to keep them safe.
Phase 2
When you get Elegon’s health down to about 85%, the fight enters Phase 2. At this time, Elegon’s engine has been shut down, but he will try to cast six Energy Charges to restart it.
These energy balls will move around the arena, and as long as one of Energy Charges reaches Imperial Focus, it will restart the engine and enter Phase 3. So your goal here is to kill as many as possible and prevent them from reaching focus.
But it should be noted that each Energy Charge killed will give Elegon a stackable Draw Power effect, which will increase the damage of the next wave by 10%. Not only that, after each kill, the number of enemies in the next wave will gradually increase.
Therefore, it is highly recommended that DPS spend some WoW Classic MoP in-game gold to reduce the cooldown of their damage skills to the minimum before officially starting the battle, and learn more about the options and combat strategies available to DPS during exploration from IGGM, which can also provide you with a lot of gold.
Since you can only enter the next phase when an Energy Charge enters focus, it is recommended that you turn to attack Elegon when the last ball appears, and let it enter focus as soon as possible, so as to enter the next phase of the battle as soon as possible.
Phase 3
Here, Elegon has more power due to the engine restart, but the moves he uses are the same as before, so the evasion and attack strategies you can use here are roughly the same, but you should invest more WoW Classic MoP gold for your defensive abilities promoted.
However, it is worth noting that the glass platform that can bring you debuffs will disappear at this time, so be careful not to fall off and cause the battle to be prolonged. Your team can avoid this by spreading out in various corners throughout the arena.
Not only that, three Imperial Focuses will spawn on both sides of the room, and they can create an arcane energy wall, which will separate you from your teammates. Again, you need to kill 6 Energy Charges here to achieve the purpose of advancing the battle.
In addition, Elegon will also throw arcane bombs at your team, which will form a small blue circle when they land, and if they are hit by it, they will probably be killed instantly. This bomb can be handled by the tank, and the best way is to use the focus to split it to reduce the damage.
It is worth mentioning that after you clear all 6 Energy Charges, you will enter Phase 1 again: Elegon’s health is still 100% and has super damage ability. Similarly, after you reduce its health by 15%, it will enter Phase 2 again and repeat all the actions just now.
After you go through two cycles, you will officially enter Phase 3, where you are required to eliminate all the health of Boss. During the whole process, DPS may be the busiest member, because it needs to pay attention to many defensive attributes and damage types, which are easy to confuse.
These are the three phases of fighting Elegon in WoW MoP Classic and the things you need to pay attention to during them. Hopefully, with the help of this guide, you can complete this multi-cycle encounter faster and get more loot and achievements from it. Have fun!
